A REFRESHER COURSE FOR DOGS WHO
ALREADY KNOW BASICS!
Five weeks of intensive practice and drill on all your novice obedience
exercises! This class is for anyone who has completed a basic obedience
course and wants to continue polishing their dog's skills in a class setting.
Focus his attention as you review off-leash techniques!
Long-distance stays
and recall will be practiced, so bring your lunge line. A good practice
course for those preparing to take their "A. K. C. Good Citizen"
certification test. Bring dog with training equipment to first
meeting.

Monrovia, Fullerton, Anaheim, Huntington Beach, and Costa Mesa. Look on

GRAD NOVICE DOG OBEDIENCE: (ADVANCED
OBEDIENCE)
Continue Your Canine's Education!
This 8-week session is for graduates of Novice obedience who want to continue
to improve and reinforce their basic obedience exercises and also introduce
their dogs to additional new skills. Long-distance stays with the lunge
line
will progress to more challenging off-leash stays, and then to stay with
owner out of sight. Basic recall from 30' will develop into
"emergency"
down (Drop on Recall). Hand signal work will be emphasized, and dogs will
be
exposed to more distractions as they learn to maintain their focus.
Various
drills will help to correct heeling position problems, crooked sits, and
sluggish reaction to commands. Some instructors will introduce clicker
work
to reinforce skills. Handlers preparing for obedience competitions, pet
therapy programs, or "Canine Good Citizen" certification will find
this class
extremely helpful. Trophies and certificates will be awarded at
graduation.
BRING DOGS TO FIRST MEETING WITH LEASH, TRAINING COLLAR, AND LUNGE LINE.
Fee: $72 (pre-register) plus a $5 insurance/materials fee
due to instructor at first meeting
