Here at Dog Services Unlimited, we believe that your dog is a very important member of your family.  For over 38 years now, we have been helping Southern California dog owners fulfill the needs of their canine family members by providing all aspects of training, activities, products and services to keep them healthy and happy.    Whether you're looking for an agility class to share new challenges with your dog, or you need help with correcting nuisance barking or a destructive chewing problem, or, if you just need a new leash or toy for your dog, we're here to serve you!

GROUP DOG TRAINING CLASSES:  We offer MANY convenient and affordable group classes that you attend once each week with your dog, to learn the techniques and skills needed to change your unruly canine into an enjoyable member of your family.  Six-week PUPPY KINDERGARTEN Classes (Fee: $58 - $68) for young pups between two and five months of age, are offered in many locations.  DOG OBEDIENCE TRAINING, an Eight-week course (Fee: $65 - $78) for dogs over five months is our most popular class.  Here is a partial list of some of our classes which are scheduled to begin in March/April, 2008:  (For a complete list of several hundred classes, click here)

GRAD-NOVICE!  By popular request, Paul Thurner, Senior Master Trainer, WILL be offering his popular Grad-Novice Obedience Course again this spring!  For graduates of Novice Dog Obedience, this eight-week session will offer new challenges for you and your dog, such as "Drop on Recall" and "5 Minute  Sit-Stay and Down-Stay with handlers out of sight".  Also improves your basics and prepares you to pass the Canine Good Citizen Test.  Trophies and certificates awarded at graduation!  Pre-requisite: completion of Novice Dog Obedience.  Please Pre-register!  Spring session is scheduled to begin on Saturday, April 5th, 8:00-9:00 a.m.

EARN YOUR OFFICIAL "CANINE GOOD CITIZEN" CERTIFICATE  FROM AMERICAN KENNEL CLUB!    

    All breeds (mixed or purebred) are welcome!   

Is YOUR dog a "good citizen" when he's out in public?  If he is friendly and calm around other dogs and people, and obeys basic obedience commands, even in distracting situations, then he is a good candidate for earning his official Canine Good Citizen certificate from American Kennel Club!  For a description of the ten skills to be tested, click here.  We offer this test in various locations and dates throughout the year.  Look for dates and locations on our Class Schedule Page. 

Upcoming Canine Good Citizen testing is scheduled for Tues. May 6th, 2008 in Huntington Beach, Wed. April 30th, 2008 in Long Beach,  Thurs. May 15th, 2008 in San Dimas,  Fri. Feb. 29th, 2008 in Irvine,  Sat. May 31st, 2008 in Yorba Linda, and Wednesday, March 12th in Fullerton.  Additional Spring dates are scheduled for late July through Late August. TEACH YOUR DOG FLYBALL! ... AN ACTIVE SPORT FOR ATHLETIC DOGS!

We are now offering FLYBALL CLASSES in two Orange County locations!  Join us for this fun, action-packed team sport open to all breeds of dogs ages 8 months or older.

  Our very popular AGILITY CLASSES, taught by April Brittsan!   Registration will begin in mid-December for WINTER session classes, which are scheduled on Wed. eves. in Long Beach starting 3/26/08 ... Friday eves. in Irvine starting 4/4/08 ... Saturday mornings in Yorba Linda starting 4/5/08 .... Monday eves. in Mission Viejo starting 4/7/08, and Thursday eves. in Riverside starting 3/27/08.  Your dog will never complain of being bored again if you enroll him for this challenging obstacle course which includes various tunnels, jumps, A-frame, teeter-totter, dog-walk, weave-poles and more!  All breeds welcome!  Sign up early ... classes fill quickly.   Summer '08 sessions begin again in late June.  See our Class Schedule for class times and location details, or our Agility page for photos.  Basic obedience strongly recommended before enrolling.  All friendly dogs welcome.  Handlers 10 years to adult.

NEW!  RALLY OBEDIENCE: Rally allows a handler to use unlimited communication (hand signals, verbal commands, praise and encouragement) during a competition.  An enthusiastic attitude and wagging tail are more important than precision, and ALL dogs are encouraged to participate - purebred or mixed breed, pets or titled champions.  More Info here
